Humans are the only creature in this world, who cut the trees, make paper from it and then write, “Save Trees” on it.
The truth is, the natural world is changing and we totally dependent on that world. It provides our food, water, and air. It is the most precious thing we have and we need to defend it. It’s the only planet we’ve got, it’s time we take better care of it.
Keeping the environment clean must be a habit for everyone, otherwise, our planet will die. With each passing day, our supply of clean water, air, and food are gradually decreasing. We prepare our end with our own hands. It is not enough to be aware of environmental problems. We have to take action for solutions.
Do you have any idea why we have to protect our planet? Here are some facts for you;
Our resources are running out,
As you know that while nearly 70 percent of the world is covered by water, only 2.5 percent of it is fresh. In essence, only 0.007 percent of the planet's water is available to fuel and feed its 6.8 billion people.
Unfortunately, humans have proved to be inefficient water users. (The average hamburger takes 2,400 liters, or 630 gallons, of water to produce, and many water-intensive crops, such as cotton, are grown in arid regions.)
According to the United Nations, water use has grown at more than twice the rate of population increase in the last century. By 2025, an estimated 1.8 billion people will live in areas plagued by water scarcity, with two-thirds of the world's population living in water-stressed regions as a result of use, growth, and climate change.
Moreover, to produce one kilogram of beef requires 25 kilograms of grain – to feed the animal – and roughly 15,000 liters of water. Pork is a little less intensive and chicken-less still.
The scale of the problem can also be seen in land use: around 30% of the earth’s land surface is currently used for livestock farming. Since food, water and land are scarce in many parts of the world, this represents an inefficient use of resources.
A clean world is essential for a healthy life,
"When the earth is sick and polluted, human health is impossible…. To heal ourselves we must heal our planet, and to heal our planet we must heal ourselves.”- Bobby McLeod
The researches show that air pollution causes many diseases like heart and asthma attacks, bronchitis, and premature mortality.
Here is the fact for you, nine out of ten people now breathe polluted air, which kills 7 million people every year.
UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change warned that coal-fired electricity must end by 2050 if we want to limit global warming rises to 1.5C. If not, we may see a major climate crisis in just 20 years. We have to start now to heal our planet to heal ourselves. Even now it can be too late.
Earth is our home - There is no Planet B,
“Out of all those millions and millions of planets floating around there in space, this is our planet, this is our little one, so we just got to be aware of it and take care of it.” – Paul McCartney (English musician)
To date, research has shown that human beings can only live on earth in the universe. Until Elon Musk finds out the new planet for human life, we have to save our world.
There are many ways to save our planet. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. You just need to do something, no matter how small or insignificant your actions may seem, they matter.
Hopefully, this video will be helpful for you to save the world.
