Karlstejn castle and Little Amerika
An enjoyable trip to stunning destinations full of picturesque and historical attractions. A chance to dig deeper into the charming history of Karlstejn castle and visit one of the most famous quarries in the country.

We will meet at 8.30 AM in Prague, main railway station - Wilsonova 8
Travel from Prague by train with our expert guide and enjoy the beautiful scenery and route to Karlštejn town.
Along the way, a guide will tell you the history of the Gothic castle founded 1348 CE by Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor-elect, and King of Bohemia. There is also open pit limestone quarry, called Little Amerika. After the visit of Little America, we are going to hike and see waterfalls and continue to the village Sv. Jana pod Skalou (Saint John under the cliff) where we are going to see the cave and Benedictine monastery that served as a labor camp, a prison, and a school for the secret police during the Communist regime.
